Guidelines for course submittal for Course Providers
- All courses submitted must be ARELLO and IDECC approved prior to submittal forreview by the qualifications registry committee.
- All courses submitted must be state approved for continuing education intheirrespective professional disciplines prior to submittal for review by thequalifications registry committee.
A five person qualifications review committee convened by the Realtor®Association courseapproval. Seminar providerswillsubmit their educational offerings to the reviewcommittee to determine a seminar’s merit for the stated purposes of theEEPQR.EEPQRreview committeeispopulated by individuals with the following skills, knowledge,and expertise:
- An appraiser with demonstrated qualifications to perform appraisals on energyefficient homes,
- A builder with experience building energy efficient homes from that region,
- A course provider or instructor with knowledge and experience in instructionaldevelopment of synchronous and asynchronous seminars,
- A Realtor®familiar with the challenges facing real estate sales professionals in thatstate, and
- A committee chair that would be a member of the Realtor®Association staff, preferably from that association’s educational department, e.g. educationaldirector, etc.
- The committee chair would only vote in case of a tie.
The residential energy-efficient qualifications registry provided by Realtor®associations isan inexpensive solution to a problem that has been hindering the proliferation of energy-efficient homes throughout America. By administering a residential energy-efficientqualifications registry, Realtor®associations have an opportunity to continue to lead intheir communities while they help to spur economic development in a variety of marketsectors.
